Dr. Jan Patterson, Infectious Diseases, discussed several vaccine trials in San Antonio, including UT Health San Antonio becoming an approved site for the Novavax vaccine. She also mentioned that a new stage of the remdesivir trial has begun with patients receiving remdesivir plus an immunomodulator called Interferon Beta 1 Alpha.
