Dr. Ruth Berggren spoke as part of KSAT 12’s continuing series aimed to fight fears with facts on the new study being undertaken by UT Health San Antonio in collaboration with University Health System for the treatment for COVID-19.
The investigational drug, called remdesivir, is for hospitalized adult patients who are critically ill.
San Antonio patients eligible for this clinical trial will be enrolled at University Hospital and Brooke Army Medical Center.
