Mays Cancer Center provides important webinars in March to raise Colorectal Cancer awareness

Sukeshi Patel Arora, MD, leader of the gastrointestinal malignancies program, Mays Cancer Center, will present the “Overview of Colorectal Cancer” webinar on March 22.

During National Colorectal Cancer Awareness Month in March, the Mays Cancer Center, home to UT Health San Antonio MD Anderson Cancer Center, is presenting five webinars each Friday to raise awareness about this disease.

Two webinars are now available to view:

  • Complex Resections for Colorectal Liver Metastases with Alexander Parikh, MD, chief of the division of surgical oncology and endocrine surgery, Mays Cancer Center.
  • Regional Therapies for Metastatic Colorectal Cancer with Colin Court, MD, PhD, director of the Regional Therapies Program, Mays Cancer Center.

The remaining three webinars in March will be published on the Mays Cancer Center’s YouTube  and Facebook pages and feature the following topics:

  • March 15: “How to Treat Peritoneal Metastasis from Colon and Rectal Cancer” with Mio Kitano, MD, surgical oncologist, Mays Cancer Center
  • March 22: “Overview of Colorectal Cancer” with Sukeshi Patel Arora, MD, leader of the gastrointestinal malignancies program, Mays Cancer Center.
  • March 29: “Role of Radiation for Colorectal Cancer” with Neil Newman, MD, radiation oncologist, Mays Cancer Center.
