Victoria “Vikki” Ramirez

Victoria “Vikki” Ramirez, a cashier in the bursar’s office, passed away unexpectedly on Nov. 13. She was 49.

Vikki began working in the bursar’s office in 2014 and was responsible for assisting departments with daily deposits, petty cash, postage requests and other duties.

Her co-workers described her as dedicated, courteous and helpful, with a cheerful mood and a hearty laugh.

“She always had a smile and she provided a very positive image for the bursar’s office,” said Stan Jackel, her immediate supervisor. “She loved participating in our office and business affairs activities. She had a sweet personality and we will miss her greatly.”

Co-worker Malva Burrahm said, “Vikki exemplified the UT Health spirit with kindness, compassion and a beautiful smile for everyone.”

Vikki leaves behind her husband of 30 years, Roger, her daughters Stephanie and Samantha, her son Israel and her granddaughters Kali and Kendall.

A visitation will be held from 5 to 9 p.m., Sunday, Nov. 19, at Castillo Mission Funeral Home, 520 N. General McMullen. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., Monday, Nov. 20, in Victory Chapel, 1742 S. General McMullen.
