New ERMS Conflict of Interest module is live

The new Enterprise Research Management System’s Conflict of Interest module is now live, replacing iDisclose 6.0. This new solution is part of the ERMS suite of applications and will improve the user experience while simplifying the conflict-of-interest disclosure process for faculty and staff across UT Health San Antonio.

In the new ERMS–COI, users will be able to:

  • Request permission to participate in outside activities.
  • Disclose outside activities, business relationships and financial interests that have the potential to create a conflict of interest.
  • Assign proxies to input disclosures on their behalf.
  • Track the review status of disclosures.

The ERMS–COI module will enable rolling disclosures of outside activities and financial interests. Faculty and staff will now be able to make real-time disclosures that can be amended anytime throughout the year. Covered faculty and staff must disclose as activities occur or financial interests are acquired. If no updates are needed, ERMS-COI will prompt users to recertify their disclosures annually.

This new functionality will reduce administrative burden by eliminating the need to submit duplicate disclosures and promote compliance through real-time data capture of outside activities and financial interests.

Questions regarding the ERMS–COI module and the transition from iDisclose can be sent to COI@uthscsa.edu.
