New UT Health San Antonio Latino cancer conference to promote progress in cancer research, science, policies

WHAT:     The first-ever conference, Advancing the Science of Cancer in Latinos, will unite 225 U.S. and international cancer researchers and leaders in San Antonio to tackle Latino cancer from prevention to basic science, and treatment to policies. The Latino cancer conference is co-hosted by the Institute for Health Promotion Research of UT Health San Antonio, directed by Amelie G. Ramirez, Dr.P.H., and the Mays Cancer Center, the newly named center of UT Health San Antonio MD Anderson Cancer Center, directed by Ruben A. Mesa, M.D.
