New roles will support the Long School of Medicine made possible through EDGE initiative

The Joe R. and Teresa Lozano Long School of Medicine will join other areas across our university that have transitioned to a new operating model to support better and more efficient service delivery as part of the Enterprise Design for Growth and Effectiveness (EDGE) initiative. Many new positions have been developed to create the service delivery model necessary to support the growth of the medical school. These jobs are posted on the EDGE Job Postings website. These are internal job postings, so you will need to log in with your employee credentials to access them.

These new roles will provide opportunities to grow and continue their career at UT Health San Antonio for interested employees. Preference will be given to internal candidates. Minimum qualifications may be flexible for internal candidates with opportunities for training possible.

These postings will close Jan. 31, 2021, so interested applicants should apply at their earliest convenience. EDGE job opportunities info sessions for employees to learn more about these roles will be available in early January, and dates will be shared soon.

For these new roles, if an employee wishes to apply without informing their supervisor, hiring managers will discuss the role with the employee first directly to confirm skillset alignment before informing supervisors.

Candidate Toolkit and interview practice available to help applicants

To assist employees who apply for the new roles, HR is developing a Candidate Toolkit that will include a Candidate Resource Guide with tips for a successful interview, short videos and podcasts. HR will also schedule time for applicants to meet with HR representatives to review their resume and provide feedback as well as facilitate mock interviews so candidates can practice.

Use your candidate profile to apply in 10 minutes

There are multiple positions available, and employees are encouraged to apply for any and all positions that interest them. If an employee has previously applied for a position, their resume and other uploaded documents are stored in their candidate profile. This same information can be used to apply for other roles. A new resume is not needed to apply for every position. The application process should take no more than 10 minutes.

Apply with network credentials and work email to be identified as an internal candidate

·         To view and apply for internal job postings, employees should log in to the internal jobs portal using their UT Health San Antonio network credentials.

·         If an employee previously applied for a position using a personal email, they should reapply using their UT Health San Antonio email, so they can be identified as an internal applicant and receive preference for these positions.
