To make a nomination, click here and choose the Health tab. Then nominate UT Health San Antonio, which includes UT Health Physicians and Mays Cancer Center, in the Medical Group Practice category and UT Dentistry in the Dental Practice category.
One set of nominations can be made each day until Jan. 2. The top five nominees in each category move on to the voting round. Voting is from Feb. 5-16.
Each year, YourSA Readers’ Choice recognizes three award winners from more than 170 categories.
Last year, UT Health San Antonio took the No. 1 spot in the Medical Group Practice category and UT Dentistry placed No. 1 in the Dental Practice category. More than 260,000 voters chose last year’s winners in over 170 categories.
UT Health Physicians is the medical practice of the Joe R. and Teresa Lozano Long School of Medicine. With more than 800 providers in more than 100 specialties and subspecialties, UT Health Physicians is the largest physician group in San Antonio. The group of physicians conducts over 300,000 patient visits a year at its 20 locations across the city.
Mays Cancer Center is the only National Cancer Institute-designated Cancer Center in South Texas. The Mays Cancer Center provides leading-edge cancer care, propels innovative cancer research and educates the next generation of leaders to end cancer in South Texas.
UT Dentistry, the region’s largest and most comprehensive dental center, is part of the School of Dentistry. With 400 dental operatories, UT Dentistry delivers care in general dentistry and nine dental specialties in its state-of-the-art, four-story location, which serves more than 120,000 patients annually. To better serve its patients with developmental and physical disabilities, UT Dentistry will open the Phil and Karen Hunke Special Care Clinic in February 2024.
