Ramirez, Population Health Sciences, Salud America! and the Institute for Health Promotion Research, is quoted in this article about a new study that found that white Americans spend disproportionately more than people of color for health care services in the United States. Dr. Ramirez said Latinos in particular often lack access to high-quality health care and are among the least likely of any racial or ethnic group to visit the doctor when they have a medical issue.
