Facilities Management is planning a power outage for the Greehey campus beginning at 7 p.m., Friday, April 28, through 5 a.m., Monday, May 1.
The outage is necessary for upgrades to the high voltage gear that will provide support to the new Data Center and future facilities in the area. This outage only involves the Greehey campus, including electrical outages for the STRF, CCRI, McDermott and RAB. All emergency power will be available during this outage. Note that this electrical power outage to the Greehey campus will be followed by at least two switching events in the weeks following the outage. These switching events will affect each building for approximately 15 minutes each in the early morning hours. Notices and additional coordination for each of these events will be sent at a later date.
