Possibility and Promise: Five-year strategic plan to be featured during Spirit Week

Possibility and Promise, the university’s five-year strategic plan for fiscal years 2023 to 2027, lays out an integrated set of choices that will uniquely position the university in its industry to create sustainable advantage and superior value in delivering its mission.

The five-year strategic plan, which will be presented during Spirit Week at the President’s Forum on Oct. 13, is a multiphase and multidimensional road map outlining methodologies to create greater value for faculty, staff, students, patients and community partners.

“This strategic plan seeks to sustain UT Health San Antonio’s remarkable trajectory of growth in scale and excellence while continuing to bring to San Antonio and South Texas the benefits of academic medicine,” said William L. Henrich, MD, MACP, president of UT Health San Antonio.

“It’s an effort that creates new leaders in health and science, provides breakthrough discoveries that advance personalized medicine, and delivers new treatments and cures for diseases that disproportionally affect the population we serve,” Henrich said.

The plan provides a blueprint of the advancements required to expand the university’s missions of education, health care, research and community engagement and meet its vision of being a world-class academic health center transforming health and health care for a diverse society.

“The work done at UT Health San Antonio is vital for good health both today and tomorrow,” Henrich said. “Our passion to serve is animated by a sincere spirit of collaboration as we endeavor to create new achievements in education, research and health with our promise to make lives better for all.”
