Remarks by Dr. Henrich at the March 22 awards dinner:

“Effective educator, research mentor and innovative leader are just a few words to describe Dr. Kristy Kosub. As a professor of medicine, she is well-known for her uplifting and enthusiastic teaching style. She effectively ran the Internal Medicine 12-week Core Clerkship for 19 years, and notably developed the MS4 Medicine Bootcamp, a course designed to prepare fourth year students for their Internal Medicine Residency internship year. Her undeniable commitment to teach students in every forum has been integral to their medical training and shapes them as future professionals. Not only does Dr. Kosub support education by teaching and mentoring students, residents and faculty, but also enjoys being involved in key committees for curricular development and oversight.”

From the nominating letter by Alison Wiseman, M.D., resident, School of Medicine:

“Dr. Kosub’s dedication to education is clear not only in her lecturing, but also in her ability to help students achieve their goals. During my transition from a medical student to an internal medicine resident, she was invaluable and I do not believe I would be as confident without her expertise. Time and time again, in my own experience and in speaking to my peers, she has led students to achieve their potential.”
