The Symposium on Stroke and Cerebrovascular Diseases, the first regional stroke conference to be organized by UT Health San Antonio, will take place Saturday, Oct. 21, at the Eilan Hotel and Spa in San Antonio.
“UT Health San Antonio has a long history of stroke research and patient care,” said Reza Behrouz, D.O., associate professor of neurology in the Long School of Medicine. “Many landmark stroke clinical trials have originated from this institution. We continue to carry on that tradition as leaders of stroke care in this community.”
The stroke conference will share UT Health knowledge and expertise with the medical community of South Texas. “This is the first time this endeavor has been undertaken”, Dr. Behrouz said.
