Register your mobile number to get HSC Alert text messages
A test of the HSC Alert system will be held at 10 a.m., Friday, Feb. 24. HSC Alert is the text and email notification system for emergencies and campus closures at the UT Health San Antonio.
“The value of the HSC Alert System has been evident on numerous occasions in the past, whether it be crime alerts, dangerous weather conditions, delayed openings or early closures, or any number of situations that may arise,” said Mary DeLay, M.B.A., vice president and chief of staff. “It is precisely because of such situations that an effective, efficient alert system exists. Text messages and emails can help save lives or injuries.”

HSC Alerts are automatically sent to all uthscsa.edu email addresses. It is critical that you have registered your mobile number and carrier in order to receive HSC Alert text messages. Faculty, staff, students and medical residents should sign up their text-enabled mobile phones and add alternate/personal email addresses to the system. Please sign into the portal and follow the instructions to register your mobile phone and carrier in order to receive text notifications.
Update your phone numbers
If you have changed your alternate/personal email address, cell phone number or cell phone carrier, please update them using the same instructions. It’s important that you do so, especially in light of a recent FCC ruling on the liability that stems from auto-dialing or auto-texting someone who hasn’t consented to receive such communications.
