Register your mobile number to receive HSC Alert text messages

The quickest way to learn about potential security or emergency issues at UT Health San Antonio campuses and locations is to sign up for text messaging through our university’s emergency communications tool called HSC Alert. HSC Alerts are automatically sent to all uthscsa.edu and livemail.uthscsa.edu (student) email addresses.

However, in order to receive text message alerts on your mobile phone, or to have these alert messages delivered to any alternate/personal email address of your choosing, you need to register your mobile phone number, phone carrier and alternate email address within the HSC Alert program.

To register or update your mobile phone and carrier, just sign into www.uthscsa.edu/HSCAlert. Log in by clicking on the top Login via Single Sign-On button using your university username and password (standard login credentials). Be sure to check to see if the carrier that is listed within your account is correct; an incorrect carrier listing may result in your not receiving a life-saving text message.

Remember that a text message from HSC Alert could save your life.
