Restricted access for some exterior doors at Dental School Building due to roof renovation

A roof renovation taking place atop the Dental School Building will restrict pedestrian access to some exterior doors for the next few months.

The “U” section of the Dental School Building roof is currently being renovated as part of a nearly decade-long plan to update all roofs on the Long Campus. This is among the last remaining sections that will be renovated from an older, 1980-era roof to a more energy-efficient, weather resistant roof system at the Long Campus.

For the safety of students, faculty and staff, pedestrian access to the Dental School Building via exterior doors 2-2, 2-4 and 2-5 will be restricted. The doors will remain accessible from within the building. Facilities Management has provided signage directing pedestrian traffic to alternate building entrances.

The project is estimated to continue for approximately four months, weather permitting.
