Dr. Jan Patterson, specialist in infectious diseases, said hospitalizations, as well as the percentage of tests that come back positive and how long it takes for cases to double, will be important indicators in the coming weeks.
“We should be concerned, because we are seeing more hospitalized patients,” said Dr. Patterson. “The way to translate that concern is not to panic and not do anything, but to think about what we’re doing in our everyday lives and how can we do that in a safe way.”
