School of Nursing announces grand reopening of its Center for Smart and Connected Health Technologies

The UT Health San Antonio School of Nursing is excited to announce the grand reopening of its Center for Smart and Connected Health Technologies (Smart Center) on Friday, Feb. 23 in the Hurd Auditorium (NSG), 1.105.

The grand reopening will feature keynote lectures and School of Nursing faculty and industry partner demonstrations focusing on the use of “Health Technologies to Empower Human Well-Being.”

Hongfang Liu, PhD, professor in the McWilliams School of Biomedical Informatics, Vice President of Learning Health System at UT Health Houston, will give a keynote address entitled Learning Health Systems in the Era of Digital Transformation and AI.

Aimee Kendall Roundtree, PhD, professor in the Department of Technical Communication, Assistant Vice President for Research in the Division of Research at Texas State University, will discuss Decolorizing Data about the Underserved: Critical Data Studies and Data Ethics in Medicine and Healthcare.
