Shopping card benefits cancer care, research

14th annual fundraiser set during Breast Cancer Awareness Month

SAN ANTONIO (Sept. 26, 2013) — The Cancer Center Council is now selling its Partners Shopping Card, which offers a 20 percent discount at more than 300 stores and restaurants in San Antonio. The card costs $50. All of the net proceeds go directly to the Cancer Therapy & Research Center at The University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio.

The Partners Shopping Card is good from Oct. 18 through Oct. 27. To purchase a card, call 210-450-5571 or visit www.cancercentercouncil.com. The cards also can be purchased at participating retailers. The website includes a list of stores and restaurants.

The Cancer Center Council, which has more than 600 active members, has a mission to support the CTRC through cancer education, community outreach, fundraising, patient assistance and volunteer service.
