The event will be an opportunity to celebrate life and give friends and family members a chance to show support for their loved ones.

The race is open to all ages and fitness levels in the community. Participants can choose to run a chip-timed 5K or walk a mile. Various vendors, activities and entertainment are planned for attendees to enjoy, including performances by Folklorico dancers, a visit with San Antonio Fire Department Sparky the mascot, children’s activities, community vendor booths and other activities.

Cancer survivors will receive a free race entry and a special purple shirt representing cancer survivorship, and VIP treatment in a dedicated tent offering complimentary chair massages, mini makeup make-overs and other amenities.

Registration is $35 through Thursday, April 4, or $40 on Friday, April 5, and race day. Cancer survivors and children under age 12 will receive a free race entry.

The first 750 to cross the finish line will receive a custom finisher medal. Cancer survivors will be greeted with a carnation at the finish line. Prizes will be awarded to winners based on age categories and overall male and female.
