Task force weighs recommendations as clinical activity resumes

A group of clinical chairs and medical directors at UT Health Physicians, the clinical practice of UT Health San Antonio, has formed a Resumption of Clinical Activity Task Force to recommend measures in the setting of continued social distancing and enhanced infection control.

“The focus of these recommendations is not only to provide our practices a framework for recovery from COVID-19, but also with an opportunity to flourish in the new environment created by this pandemic,” said Robert Leverence, M.D., chief medical officer of the clinical practice. “Critical to balancing the need for clinical growth in the face of continued social distancing will be the creative use of video visits and ultimately, extended hours.”

The task force chair is Carlos Rosende, M.D., executive director of UT Health Physicians.
