Teaching Excellence Seminars

Master teachers in the Division of General Pediatrics and UTeach course are teaming up to offer three teaching excellence seminars for UT Health San Antonio faculty. 

Tuesday, Aug. 7, 2018, ALTC Room 205: 

  • 9 a.m.-10:30 a.m., Large Group Teaching: Interactive Techniques and Adult Learning, presented by Bill Hendricson, M.S., M.A., co-director, UTeach (UTHSA Course INTD 5035) 
  • 10:45 a.m.-12:15 p.m. Large Group Teaching: Learning in Teams, presented by Jean Petershack, M.D., professor and director, Medical Student Education, Department of Pediatrics; 2008 UT Health San Antonio Presidential Award for Teaching Excellence; UT Health San Antonio Academy of Master Teachers 
  • 1:15-2:45 p.m. Educational Scholarship and Curriculum Design, presented by Elizabeth Hanson, M.D., associate professor and director, Curriculum Development Long School of Medicine Office of Education; 2017 APA Teaching Award for Junior Faculty
