Dear faculty, staff, students and residents:
Today we celebrate the exceptional self-sacrifice of the many in our ranks who sustained our life-saving, life-affirming missions through a historic winter storm event. In the midst of a year battling the COVID-19 pandemic, San Antonio and Texas went through a week of subzero wind chill resulting in no water, no power and no heat. And, as has become the norm, our UT Health San Antonio community mobilized on a heroic scale.
Thank you to everyone at UT Health San Antonio for your contributions and example. The self-sacrifices by so many are really gifts greatly cherished by the people we serve and by each of us as well.
