All eyes were on the sky as the U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds soared over UT Health San Antonio and the South Texas Medical Center to salute health care workers, first responders and essential workers serving on the front lines of the COVID-19 crisis.

The Thunderbirds flew over downtown San Antonio and other parts of the city before heading to Austin for a flyover there. These flyovers, on May 13, were part of Operation America Strong honoring health care workers, first responders, military and other essential personnel nationwide committed to keeping communities safe during the COVID-19 pandemic.
