Education Assistance Program designed to help employees continue their education

The Education Assistance Program is designed to enhance the employee work-life experience by supporting an employee’s decision to continue their education or pursue professional certifications.

Under this program, eligible staff employees can apply to receive up to $2,500 per calendar year in tuition reimbursement for successfully completing courses or certification coursework from an accredited college; university; trade or vocational school; or professional association or society. The program is first-come, first-served while funding is available.

To be eligible for reimbursement, an employee must:

  • Be an active, regular, full time, benefits-eligible UT Health San Antonio staff employee at the beginning and completion of the approved course or certification program and at the time of reimbursement.
  • Be employed at least six months at UT Health San Antonio as of the date of the application.
  • Receive achieves or exceeds on their most recent performance review with no disciplinary actions six months prior to the application.
