Texas Public Radio: To bring down high blood pressure, it helps to have a team

You’ve probably heard the phrase “it takes a village” to get things done. Many clinics across the U.S. are finding that’s true for effectively controlling their patients’ high blood pressure.

The project “Improving Blood Pressure Control: A Multidisciplinary Team Based Approach” is one of dozens of Clinical Safety and Effectiveness Course projects conducted under UT Health San Antonio’s Center for Patient Safety & Health Policy, directed by Jan E. Patterson, M.D., M.S., associate dean for quality and lifelong learning.
