The link between oral health and systemic health is undeniable, making convenient access to safe, efficient and reliable care a priority for our UT Health San Antonio community. UT Dentistry’s newly opened General Dentistry Clinic makes finding the time for and scheduling regular dental checkups easier and less stressful.
“We strive every day to provide gentle, patient-focused dental care in a relaxed, friendly environment — getting to know each patient, answering questions and explaining treatments in a clear, understandable manner,” said Brian Secrist, DDS, director and dentist at UT Dentistry’s General Dentistry Clinic. “We are sensitive to patients’ time and do not double book appointments. The time we reserve for a patient is their time with us. Additionally, our trained and friendly staff can help with any benefits questions and take the mystery out of dental insurance by explaining what is covered, deductibles, copays, yearly maximums and so forth. We are offering the highest level of individualized expert care for our UT Health community and look forward to welcoming everyone,” said Dr. Secrist.
The new clinic offers the services of Dr. Secrist and his dedicated team at an easy-to-access, on-campus location with convenient hours to fit employees’ work schedules. Located within UT Dentistry’s state-of-the-art Center for Oral Health Care and Research, UT Health employees and the community now have a dental care home where patients can receive ongoing comprehensive and preventive oral health care with access to advanced specialty services in one location.
The General Dentistry Clinic’s office hours are Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., with extended patient care hours available for appointments before and after work as well as during lunch. Same-day or next-day appointments are often available. The clinic is an in-network preferred provider for UT System’s Delta Dental insurance.
