UT Health San Antonio was one of 51 San Antonio area businesses, educational institutions and government entities recognized as a healthy workplace by the San Antonio Business Group on Health.

UT Health received a platinum level recognition at an awards ceremony Dec. 14.

The effort was spearheaded by the School of Nursing, which handles all health and wellness initiatives and operates both student and employee clinics.

The award recognizes workplaces that offer a wide array of health services such as vaccinations, an EAP program, health seminars, physical activities and more.

The San Antonio Business Group on Health is an organization of local employers and providers of worksite wellness programs and services. The group aims to improve the health of San Antonio workers by providing the business community with opportunities to network, discuss best practices, promote worksite wellness initiatives and recognize local employers for their efforts to improve employee health and wellness.
