UT Health San Antonio researchers partner with UTSA, use AI to improve real-time coronary imaging

Marc Feldman, MD, emeritus and adjoint professor of medicine in the Janey and Dolph Briscoe Division of Cardiology at UT Health San Antonio and Paul Rad, associate director of research in the UTSA School of Data Science collaborated on developing a cutting-edge artificial intelligence (AI)-based imaging tool that would enable clinicians to view a patient’s coronary artery so that they can assess plaque build-up and future risks of heart attacks in real time.
