UT Health San Antonio wins ‘Best Company Perks & Benefits’ award from Comparably

UT Health San Antonio has earned a “Best Company Perks & Benefits” award from Comparably, a website that compiles job listings and company culture information, based on feedback from surveys of its current employees.

This marks the third award UT Health San Antonio has received from Comparably, after receiving “Best Company for Diversity” (December 2022) and “Best Company Outlook” (March 2023).

The institution received the award out of tens of thousands of large employers (with more than 500 employees) based on employee feedback over the past 12 months, placing 82nd among 100 employers ranked. UT Health San Antonio was one of only two San Antonio-based employers that made the list, with HEB at 95th. Other notable national employers on the list include Microsoft, Google, Costco, Meta, Cisco, Johnson & Johnson and others.

The Top 100 highest-rated companies with the Best Perks & Benefits are based on anonymous employee feedback on Comparably.com to a variety of questions regarding an employee’s overall satisfaction with their perks and benefits.

This set of Comparably Awards were derived from sentiment ratings provided by employees who anonymously rated their employers on Comparably.com during a 12-month period, August 2022 through August 2023.

Rankings were determined based on a series of questions related to perks and benefits (in yes/no, 1-10 scale, and multiple-choice format). The answer to each question was given a numerical score and then compared to companies of similar size.

There were no fees or costs associated with participating, nor was nomination required. To qualify, large employers must have met a minimum of 75 employee participants, with additional weight given to companies with more employee participation.

The final data set was compiled from 15 million ratings across 70,000 U.S. companies.
