Texas A&M University-San Antonio has installed four kiosks providing free naloxone nasal spray to students and members of the surrounding South Side community, according to a report in the student newspaper The Mesquite. Two purple newspaper-style dispensers, known as “Barney Boxes,” are located in the Central Academic Building’s Commuter Lounge and the Student Counseling Center lobby. Be Well Texas, an initiative operated by UT Health San Antonio, supplied the kiosks and medication at no cost to the university or users.
