No one is immune to COVID-19. It attacks the old and young alike, said Robert Leverence, MD, chief medical officer. Today, there are more patients in San Antonio hospitals with the virus who are under the age of 30 than over the age of 60.
“I think what this pandemic is really teaching us is that our individual behaviors really matter,” he said. “We’re in a battle and we need to maintain this battle rhythm for the long term.”
“We Can Stop the Spread” is a public education initiative aimed at sustaining and increasing the simple behaviors that will keep us all safe during the COVID-19 pandemic. We are asking the community to do its part by wearing a face mask in public, practice social distancing and good hand hygiene.
