Forum this week includes talk on commercializing academic research

Adding samples to a 96 well plate using a multi-channel pipettor in a biosafety cabinet.

What:  The UT Health Science Center Postdoctoral Association and the Office of Postdoctoral Affairs will host the Fourth Annual San Antonio Postdoctoral Research Forum.

When:  11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesday (Sept. 21), followed by a reception until 7 p.m.

Where:  Holly Auditorium, Long Campus of the UT Health Science Center, 7703 Floyd Curl Drive, San Antonio, Texas 78229

Who:  Randy Goldsmith, Ph.D., CEO of Rapamycin Holdings, will speak at 4 p.m. His topic is “Commercializing Academic Research.”

Why:  This forum provides an opportunity to showcase research by postdoctoral fellows at The University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio, the U.S. Army Institute of Surgical Research, The University of Texas at San Antonio and Texas Biomedical Research Institute.
