Charles R. Thomas Jr., M.D., vice chairman and associate professor in the department of radiation oncology at The University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio (UTHSC), received a $15,000 grant from the Ladies Auxiliary to the Veterans of Foreign Wars for his research of radiation therapy for lung and esophageal cancer.

The Board of Trustees and members of the Hispanic Dental Association (HDA) have awarded Ramon Baez, D.D.S., M.P.H., professor in the Department of General Dentistry and Community Dentistry at The University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio (UTHSC), the HDA’s Recognition of Excellence award.
