RAHC expansion is ‘a commitment to the people of the Valley’

Francisco G. Cigarroa, M.D., president of the Health Science Center, told Lower Rio Grande Valley leaders July 17 that the Regional Academic Health Center’s second Harlingen building, currently under construction, represents “a firm and enduring commitment by the Health Science Center to the people of the Lower Rio Grande Valley, chief among them our veterans.”




$60 million in Tuition Revenue Bonds to build dynamic research facility

House Bill 153, recently passed by the state Legislature and signed into law by Gov. Rick Perry, is a milestone piece of legislation in the life of The University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio, and it will fund a signature research facility that will transform the face of the South Texas Medical Center, Health Science Center President Francisco G. Cigarroa, M.D., said July 11 at a campus visit by Gov. Perry.
