U.S. News & World Report ranks UT Health San Antonio’s Doctor of Nursing program 67th in nation

57% of matching medical students to remain in Texas for residency, and 22% in San Antonio

March 21, 2022

This year 99% of UT Health San Antonio Long School of Medicine’s fourth-year medical students matched to residency programs, exceeding the national average; 57% will stay in Texas, of which 22% will remain in San Antonio.

Importantly for Texas, 57% of the students will remain in the state and 43% will enter primary care specialties.
