Crash robbed South Texas of neurosurgeon’s heart and talent

I received the news early in the morning of September 20. Roman Hlatky, M.D., a highly valued faculty neurosurgeon at The University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio, had been killed in a motor vehicle accident on his way home from University Hospital.
